Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle

Time to start thinking about Christmas cards and presents.  I bought the Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle from the mini catalogue  August-December 2020..  Such a timeless set and can be used for cards in the southern and northern hemisphere.   It has a mix of all my favorite colours in this suite, in particular the Copper and Pretty Peacock caught my eye.

Whisper white card stock size: 21cm x 11.5cm folded in half

Pretty Peacock card stock size 10cm x 11cm.

Using copper cardstock I embossed with the "Greenery Embossing Folder" (from the Forever Greenery) suite and punch them out with "Gleaming Ornaments Punch pack". I punched holes in the top of each of the ornaments and threaded gold twine (from the Forever  Greenery suit)e and positioned them where I wanted them.  I embossed in copper the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set.

The box was made with both Pretty Peacock card stock and Specialty paper glued onto of one another as I needed something sturdy for the candle inside.  

The measurements of the box are (in inches sorry) 10 1/2" wide and 6 " depth ( see below).  The lid is just in Pretty Peacock and a left over piece of card stock as a band across all wrapped up with gold twine.

Stampin' Up Forever Greenery Suite

I am a little bit rusty on blogging and video's as I had to step back from being a Stampin' Up demonstrator a couple of years ago.  I have rejoined and enjoying all the beautiful products again that are available and loving getting inkie fingers and crafty again.

The first thing I ordered was the Forever Greenery Suite.  Such a variety of coordinating products and lots of possibilities. Lots of elements in this suite can be used with other products in the catalogue.

I stated with making this simple very classic card.  This could be adapted to be a wedding card, engagement card, anniversary or birthday card.

What you will find in this suite is Gold Laser-cut specialty paper. That is where the fern came from. Also in the suite you will find gold hoops and there is also a combo pack of gold trim and vanilla ribbon.  There is also a beautiful stamp set included.

With this card I used  whisper white card, vellum as the background . On the vellum I embossed a sentiment from the stamp set in gold.  I then wrapped some gold trim around the hoop and tied it at the bottom, separating the trim out.  I chose the laser cut fern and with a glue dot attached it to the hoop and then attached the hoop and fern onto the velum.  With small dots of tombo glue I attached the vellum onto the white card stock.

Stampin' Up! Just Simply Layers

May and June where the most awful months for me with sickenss and losing someone dear.  I don't know if you are like me, but I simply cannot craft and create when I am so sad.  When I start to recover I feel my smile come back in my craft and this card is my reflection of that.  I wanted to make a simple clean card which can be used for any occasion or just a note card.  This was not a card I entered into a bloghop, but I did decide to shared on my blog and facebook purely for inspiration.

Stampin' Up! Lovely Floral Embossing

#the100day project

This was the first chance I have had to have a play with this beautiful embossing folder.  It gives an amazing deep impression into the card which gave me the idea of heat embossing.  I used the Versamark on  positive image, and heat embossed in gold embossing powder and it came out beautifully, so I thought I would see how it would turn out on the  negative image and I absolutely loved it even more!

Stampin' Up! Graceful Glass

Welcome to the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. This month's theme is Annual Catalogue Sneak Peak. You are currently visiting Waterlilypapercraft from Australia. I hope you enjoy my card.

My card is featuring the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum which has 24 sheets 6" x6" with such a variety of printed vellum sheets from soft lines, flowers and birds to symmetrical lines and bold patterns.  The sheets can be coloured using the blender pens to give off a vibrant colour to bring out the patterns and then cut to any shape.

I focused on squares with this design.  I coloured my section of vellum I wanted to use.  I used 6cm square die for the large vellum square and 3 cm square die for the centre pattern . I placed the vellum onto whisper white card stock and positioned my dies, this all went through the big shot at the same time.  I cut a 7cm square and a 4cm square in black cardstock to layer with my paper trimmer.  I also cut a 7cm square in Daffodil Delight for the background for both squares to be positioned upon. I used a strip of the remaining piece of vellum for foot of the card and placed a very small sentiment in the centre trying not to take the focus from the bold patterns.

Stampin' Up! Share What You Love Little Treat Box/Bag

This little box was inspired by a project I made from approximately 3 years ago when I started crafting using SU products, which was published by Pootles Papercraft.  I have changed the measurements slightly as I am using the new DSP instead of cardstock which will make two of these little boxes/bags which are ideal for putting a little gift inside etc.. chocolates, lip balms etc.. I can easily get in three Lindt chocolates in my ones today.


I have taken some photo's of my prototype with the measurements which you can see below.

Using 12 x 12 DSP, you will need to cut to the DSP in half = 6"  and then turn and cut 10 1/2".  You can get two little boxes out of one sheet.

If you are using a DSP where the pattern is facing a certain way, be aware of where the top of your box will be and face your pattern accordingly.

Score at 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" and 10"
Turn around to the short side and score 1 1/2" and 4 1/2"

Turn back around and score down only just to the first score line at 1 1/4" and then 6 1/4"... these will mark where to score where the creases will be.  From those score points score diagonally down to the corners of that section to make a triangle,... the point of the triangle must point to where the top of the box will be (this is important if you have a patterned DSP)

Then cut away as shown.

Fold and burnish the score lines (not the scored triangles) and use glue to attach the two sides together where the thinnest section is

Fold and glue the bottom of the box and fold back the two top flaps to show the opposite side of the paper and gentle push the tops together which will allow the sides to naturally crease where the score lines are.  Punch holes on each side and feed through a ribbon to tie.

Stampin' Up! Mandala Decorative Mask Card

This was such a therapeutic card to do, but it would also be also fun  to do together with children or grandchildren.

I used the Mandala pattern from the decorative mask pack 

I picked three of my favourite colours and three separate clean daubers (I used a blender pen for the small dots in the end)

With old washi tape I taped the Mandala mask down over Whisper White cardstock being careful to centre.

Gently daubing the ink over the areas with each colour. I wanted a dark intense colour so kept building it up. If you want a lighter shade then just lightly dab. 

I found when I got to the small dots then it was difficult with the dauber as the colour kept going onto the next section, so I changed to a blender pen which was better.

I then placed two circle dies in the area of the Mandala I wanted raised and then ran through the big shot.  I glued down the base onto Calypso Coral card and with the largest die cut circle I placed Dimensional's (two stacked on top of eachotherr on three sections behind he circle) this raised up the first circle.  With the middle circle die cut I placed four Dimensional's in the centre of the circle behind to raise it up further.  To complete I placed a Rhinestone in the centre.

Stampin' Up! Share What You Love Memories & More Album

I treated myself to the pre-order "Gotta Have It All Bundle" (149812) which is now open to customers to order.  The suite has EVERYTHING I LOVE in there, so I could not resist.

I wanted to cover the front of my Memories & More album (code 144203).

The papers are to die for .....the photo's you see do not do this paper justice, you really do have to see them in real life to appreciate the pearl design and the feel of the paper is just top quality.

I had trouble choosing one of the papers for the front cover of my Memories & More photo album as I love them all.... so I looked for inspiration from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit Designer box included in the suite which has Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart on the lid which is beautiful.  The paper matches closely to the box and I thought it would look lovely as gift set.

I also had enough of the 12"x12" paper left over to make a little pocket on the inside and two book marks using some of the embellishments from the little kit.

The measurement are listed below.

Cut your chosen paper to 8"
On three sides score to 1 1/2" and cut the corners away to an angle
Glue to the front of the album lining up with the black material on front of the album and wrap ends to the inside of the cover and glue down with a good quality glue like Tombo.

If you want to use a ribbon how I did, then wrap around the front cover and glue on the inside as this is going to be covered by card.   I lined mine up with the black material to make it look neat at the front. Press it all down firmly so the glue will hold.

I used the matching cardstock  in the suite which is Rich Razzelberry for the inside of the cover .
I measured this to 6 1/2"x 8 1/4" and glue on to the inside of the cover which covers the folds and the ribbon join and tidy's it all up.

Optional:  With the remaining DSP  I measured 6" width 3 1/4" length and scored 1/4" on three sides.  Fold back where it is scored and glue on the inside to make a pocket. I then had the last of the paper which I cut to approx. 5" width and rounded the edges attaching a couple of the embellishments from the kit to decorate.

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Reflection

I am not sure if the photo is picking up the background of puddles in white embossing as it is subtle, but the background needed simplicity so not to take focus away from the beautiful little dragon flies.

I embossed the little dragon flies in silver and then with an aqua pen I added a little dab of Berry Burst to colour the wings.  The middle dragon fly was stamped with versamark onto window sheet and then pressed onto the square of the shimmery paper so it was facing the opposite way.

This beautiful stamp set will be available very soon in the new 2018-2019 Catalogue, hope this design inspires you.

Stampin' Up! Graceful Glass Designer Vellum Tealights

Day 6 #the100dayproject

This beautiful Graceful Glass Designer Vellum will be available in the new up and coming catalogue and available to order 1st June 2018.

When I saw this vellum it instantly reminded me of the stained glass windows in the old church where my husband and I were married in Daresbury, Cheshire UK many moons ago.  This church is quite famous as it was the church Lewis Carroll was baptised in and the actual baptism font used is still in the grounds.  Lewis Carroll lived in Daresbury and wrote the story of Alice in Wonderland whilst he lived there (a bit of history for you).

The vellum comes in 6"x6"  (15.2cm x 15.2cm): 146344.  I cut it in half to make two tea light covers for the battery operated tea lights.

I coloured the velum using the blender pen colour Rich Razzleberry Dark 144578 and Daffodil Delight Dark 144585.  After I coloured it I then arched it and attached the edges with clear double sided tape to make a small cylinder.  It sits perfectly over a standard size battery operated tea light.

Stampin' Up! Notebook

Day 5 #the100dayproject

Time to use up some of my lovely paper!  This paper I have used to decorate this note book is no longer available, but Stampin' Up! constantly release unique stylish designs called DSP (Designer Paper Series).  I went to the "On Stage" event last weekend in Sydney for the new catalogue which I am so excited about as  Stampin' Up! have revamped their colour pallet and there are some amazing colours and products which will be available to purchase soon.  The new DSP released are just fantastic and of course (in true Stampin' Up! style) have matching cardstock and embellishments, however, there are some equally beautiful papers still available in the current catalogue.  

Yesterday, I bought some plain notebooks from KMart and have decorated them as gifts.  This one I have made is for me as this by far my favourite paper, but I have plenty more to use up.

Stampin' Up! Mixed Drinks

Day 2  #the100dayproject

When you are a member of Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator, you get to go to what is called "On Stage" where all demonstrators gather in your state/country and you can see all the exciting new products, inks and paper.  You also get to meet up with fellow crafters/demonstrators and I have made many friends through Stampin' Up! over the years, just love what I do. xx

You have the opportunity to make a card and swap it with another demonstrator to give each other ideas and inspiration, so do a few and some to hundreds.  I designed the above card, but I only made 8 for our table....but I do hope they like it

I water painted the Shimmery White cardstock with Watercolour pencils.  I then used the stitched shapes framelits (largest one) to cut out the middle of the cardstock.  I ran the cardstock through the big shot with the Scattered Sequins embossing folder (without the circle).  Then  I turned the circle upside down so the colour contrasts and on the circle I stamped on a the sentiment from Mixed Drinks stamp set.  I  stamped the glasses, cut them out and coloured them in.  I stamped the bubbles onto the circle with versamark and heat embossed with silver.   I used embossing paste and mask for the cloud effect .

I used Pool Party cardstock to use as my base. I then used Dimensional's and placed the stitched circle over the area where it was cut out. I attached the glasses to the circle.  Finishing off the card with linen thread.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful You

Day 1 #the100dayproject

I started "The 100 Day Project" challenge.  My goal is to make one card or project each day for the next 100 days. This is my first one and loving bringing out this "Beautiful You" set again as I haven't used it in a while.

I decided  to use Tranquil Tide Cardstock and stamp in the background with the same colour ink.  I wanted a bold colour in the middle, but it didn't look right plain, so I embossed it with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  I stamped the silhouette and coloured her dress with the Stampin' Blends and with a small strip of glimmer paper made a waist band to break up the colour.  I cut out this beautiful silhouette and used dimensional's to mount onto the middle of the card (with the puddle)
