Stampin' Up! Graceful Glass Designer Vellum Tealights

Day 6 #the100dayproject

This beautiful Graceful Glass Designer Vellum will be available in the new up and coming catalogue and available to order 1st June 2018.

When I saw this vellum it instantly reminded me of the stained glass windows in the old church where my husband and I were married in Daresbury, Cheshire UK many moons ago.  This church is quite famous as it was the church Lewis Carroll was baptised in and the actual baptism font used is still in the grounds.  Lewis Carroll lived in Daresbury and wrote the story of Alice in Wonderland whilst he lived there (a bit of history for you).

The vellum comes in 6"x6"  (15.2cm x 15.2cm): 146344.  I cut it in half to make two tea light covers for the battery operated tea lights.

I coloured the velum using the blender pen colour Rich Razzleberry Dark 144578 and Daffodil Delight Dark 144585.  After I coloured it I then arched it and attached the edges with clear double sided tape to make a small cylinder.  It sits perfectly over a standard size battery operated tea light.

If you live in Australia and you would like to order this vellum when the new catalogue goes live 1st June 2018, please send me a message and I will put your name on the waiting list ...... How exciting!!!

I think they look really cute!

Happy crafting.

Stampin' Up! Notebook

Day 5 #the100dayproject

Time to use up some of my lovely paper!  This paper I have used to decorate this note book is no longer available, but Stampin' Up! constantly release unique stylish designs called DSP (Designer Paper Series).  I went to the "On Stage" event last weekend in Sydney for the new catalogue which I am so excited about as  Stampin' Up! have revamped their colour pallet and there are some amazing colours and products which will be available to purchase soon.  The new DSP released are just fantastic and of course (in true Stampin' Up! style) have matching cardstock and embellishments, however, there are some equally beautiful papers still available in the current catalogue.

Yesterday, I bought some plain notebooks from KMart and have decorated them as gifts.  This one I have made is for me as this by far my favourite paper, but I have plenty more to use up.

I hope this project inspires you to use up your DSP or if you would like to purchase any current beautiful papers from me, just check them out by pressing the shop now button...

The embellishments I used on this project:

Hearts & Stars Elements: 144215
Pearl Basic Jewels: 144219
Delicate White Doilies: 141701

Layering Love Stamp: 141965

Stampin' Up! Mixed Drinks

Day 2  #the100dayproject

When you are a member of Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator, you get to go to what is called "On Stage" where all demonstrators gather in your state/country and you can see all the exciting new products, inks and paper.  You also get to meet up with fellow crafters/demonstrators and I have made many friends through Stampin' Up! over the years, just love what I do. xx

You have the opportunity to make a card and swap it with another demonstrator to give each other ideas and inspiration, so do a few and some to hundreds.  I designed the above card, but I only made 8 for our table....but I do hope they like it

I water painted the Shimmery White cardstock with Watercolour pencils.  I then used the stitched shapes framelits (largest one) to cut out the middle of the cardstock.  I ran the cardstock through the big shot with the Scattered Sequins embossing folder (without the circle).  Then  I turned the circle upside down so the colour contrasts and on the circle I stamped on a the sentiment from Mixed Drinks stamp set.  I  stamped the glasses, cut them out and coloured them in.  I stamped the bubbles onto the circle with versamark and heat embossed with silver.   I used embossing paste and mask for the cloud effect .

I used Pool Party cardstock to use as my base. I then used Dimensional's and placed the stitched circle over the area where it was cut out. I attached the glasses to the circle.  Finishing off the card with linen thread.

The items I used if you wanted to recreate this card are:

Pool Party cardstock: 124391
Shimmery White: 121717

Embossing Folder: Scattered Sequins: 145649
Framelits: Stitched Shapes: 145372

Watercolour pencils: 141709 (I used Bermuda Bay/Old Olive/Daffodil Delight)
Aqua Painter: 103954

Embossing Paster: 141979
Pattern Party Decorative Mask (clouds): 144103

Mixed Drinks:141928
Silver Embossing Powder: 109131
Versamark: 102283

Rhinestone Basic Jewels: 144220

Linen Thread: 104199

Stampin' Up! Beautiful You

Day 1 #the100dayproject

I started "The 100 Day Project" challenge.  My goal is to make one card or project each day for the next 100 days. This is my first one and loving bringing out this "Beautiful You" set again as I haven't used it in a while.

I decided  to use Tranquil Tide Cardstock and stamp in the background with the same colour ink.  I wanted a bold colour in the middle, but it didn't look right plain, so I embossed it with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  I stamped the silhouette and coloured her dress with the Stampin' Blends and with a small strip of glimmer paper made a waist band to break up the colour.  I cut out this beautiful silhouette and used dimensional's to mount onto the middle of the card (with the puddle)

Listed below are the items I used if you would like to recreate this card

Emerald Envy Cardstock: 141420
Basic Black Cardstock: 121688
Shimmery White Cardstock: 121717
Glimmer Paper Dazzling Diamonds: 135315
Memento Black Ink: 132708
Emerald Envy Ink Pad: 141396
Softly Falling Embossing Folder: 139672
Beautiful You Clear Mount Stamp Set: 143637
Stampin' Blends: 144600 Bermuda Bay/ 144603 Daffodil Delight/ 144601 Crumb Cake (Occasions Catalogue 2018)

Stampin' Up USB Stick Holder

I have so many USB Sticks scattered around and have no idea what is on them.... they end up in draws and cupboards (even in the washing machine and it still works!).  I decided I needed to put them somewhere where not only I could find them, but what photo's are on there which cuts down so much time searching through when I want to print off photo's for scrapbooking.

I had a quick look around on Printrest and found only a couple that would work for me, but not exactly what I needed.  If you are looking for USB storage stick holders and this looks like it would work for you, I have listed the measurement I used to make it and the materials.

Calypso Coral A4 cardstock
Measurements width 21cm x depth 9cm
First score at 10cm, second score 11cm

The insert holder measurements width 10cm x depth 9cm
First score 2cm, second score 8cm
Using SU trimmer cut from the 2cm score to the 8cm score to make the spilt where the USB stick sits.
Fold back at first score and fold back at second score leaving only the split facing.  Glue holder into the inside of the card, leaving space to the side to make a note of content of the stick.

For the decoration for the front I used the Daisy punch to cut out Shimmery cardstock where I had used the Brusho Crystal colours.(I have a video showing how I use them) A strip of glimmer paper across the middle of the front of the card and also on the inside.

Hope you can follow these instructions .

Items I used:

Calypso Coral A4 cardstock- 124392
Shimmery Cardstock - 121717
Glimmer Paper - 135315
Daisy punch 143713
Brusho Crystal Colour - 144101
Spitzers  - 126185

SU Trimmer - 129722
