Stampin' Up! Daisy Birthday Card

Inspired by a trip to our local garden centre to buy some new flowers for the garden this Easter.  I just loved the colour of this beautiful pansy called Starry Night.  We had this plant last year and it flowered beautifully, but whilst we were away in the UK visiting family, there was a 46 degree heatwave in Australia and it burnt and withered away which we were really sad about.
So.... as Easter signifies re-birth, what a fitting time to buy a new one and replant it!!!!
I decided to use Fresh Fig as I love the vibrancy of this Stampin' Up! colour.  I used Shimmery Card stock for sparkle and the petals were cut out with the Daisy punch and layered.  I punched out some glimmer paper for the centre of the flower and little Rhinestone.  To get the effect of the shade in the flower petals I used the Rich Razzelberry combo Stampin' Blends and blended in the colour (loved doing this!!).  I used the Basket Weave embossing folder for the background of the card.  To complete the card I used the metallic edged ribbon and a sentiment which was stamped with Fresh Fig ink cut out with the smallest Stitched oval shaped framelit,

If you would like to recreate this card, the items I used are listed below.

Daisy Punch - 143713
14 inch Circle Punch - 1433720
Stitched Shaped Framelits - 145372
Basket Weave Embossing Folder (available as a free item until 31st March)

Stampin' Up! Blossoming Basket

I am enjoying this Easter break relaxing and getting to craft for fun, with my music in the background and my dog lying on my feet.   This is the first time I have had a chance to use this beautiful stamp set and embossing folder which I chose as my "Sale-A-Bration" product for free....... gosh I love Stampin' Up! products.

I used the embossing folder as the background with the Crumb Cake cardstock.  I then used the gold cardstock and the layering circle which fitted perfectly in the centre of the doily.  Stamping the basket in black ink I coloured the flowers and basket and cut out the image taking away the handle.  I used snail adhesive to attach the doily onto the card and then gold circle onto the doily.  I used dimensionals to attach the basket onto the foil to give it a raised layer.  I stamped the Get Well Wishes sentiment and  I cut out a little banner and attached with a glue dot.

The items I used for this card are listed below:

Sale A Bration - Blooming Basket
Delicate White Doilies - 141701
Gold Foil Sheet - 132622
Layering Circles Framelit - 141705
Crumb Cake Card Stock - 121685

Stampin' Up! Memories & More #2 Scottish Birthday Celebration

This is my second page of memory keeping using Memories & More Petal & Passion Card Pack (available for a limited time) and Stampin' Up! products.

It was my hubby's birthday whilst we were in Scotland visiting my niece on my recent visit to the UK.  My husband loves high quality Scottish Whisky, so we celebrated with a wee dram before meeting my family for dinner.

A few things going on in this page..... it was my first time using the Embossing Paste and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.  I made a mistake here as I had the bright idea of using copper embossing powder to mix in so I could heat emboss the patter.....but quickly found out that doesn't work lol!! It just turned beige, but it looks actually ok so I left it at that.  Note to oneself....don't waste your emboss powder by mixing it with embossing paste, it doesn't work like it does in glue :)

I used the lovely Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack which in the current Occasions Catalogue (available until 31st March 2018) which has some lovely sentiments printed on the cards, plus the subtle pink, black and white patterned cards worked well. I cut out one of the flowers and used a blender pen to colour in pink.

In the top left corner I used a stamp set which is called Beautiful Peacock and it has great sentiments in there with a beautiful peacock stamp and tiny flowers.....so cute.  I decorated the photograph using Touches of Nature Elements wood flowers and leaves.

I hope you like the layout and it gives you some ideas and inspiration about how to use SU products for memory keeping.  Listed below are all the products I used.  If you would like to shop with me that would be wonderful and thank you!  Simply click on the "Shop Now" button and copy and paste the listed codes.

Stampin' Up! - Memories & More #1 80th Birthday Celebrations

First of all.....My astrology star sigh is Libra,  which means in short that I am very indecisive... or maybe that is just me anyway!! ...... This is why I love Stampin' Up! products so much as they take all the hard work out of trying to co-ordinate colours and products.

I am using my current stash of Stampin' Up! products along with the  new "Memories & More" card collection and I am finding that I am REALLY enjoying doing some memory keeping pages.

This is my first 12 x 12" page.  This photograph was taken in the UK celebrating my Dad's 80th Birthday which was a very special day.  I picked up the colours from the photograph of  black, white and red.  The Memories & More card pack I used was from the  2018 Occasions Catalogue which has some gorgeous printed sentiments and designs in black and white.

I had lots of fun using the Brusho Crystal Colour on shimmery paper from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue (see my YouTube video on how easy that it).  I then used my heart dies and little heart punch (retired) and cut out some hearts in different sizes.  I arranged them in combination with the heart enamel shapes and used a wood heart.  The stamped sentiment was used from the Mixed Drinks stamp set using memento black ink.

I hope you like the layout and it gives you some ideas and inspiration about how to use SU products for memory keeping.  Listed below are all the products I used.  If you would like to shop with me that would be wonderful and thank you!  Simply click on the "Shop Now" button and copy and paste the listed codes.

I hope you enjoy your crafting and thank you for checking out my page.
